Following their meeting on March 15th 2016, Cabinet APPROVED that the Council upgraded all suitable stock to LED units, recover energy costs for community lighting from town and parish councils/meetings and inspect and maintain all lighting stock throughout the County.

RCC will be undertaking upgrades to all suitable streetlights over the next 6 months.

Further to previous correspondence, please find attached a schedule of the lights that will be replaced in your Parish, including a location plan.

Once the upgrades to these lights have been completed, RCC will commence full responsibility for the maintenance of all lighting within this Parish. These upgrades should be completed by the end of November 2016.

The Parish will be re-charged the cost of Community lighting, commencing in the financial year 2017/18. This rate will be subject to change dependent on current energy prices. The energy price used for the calculation will be communicated prior to invoicing.

Your parish charge for 2017/18 will be £218.72 based on current energy rates of £0.096317/kwh.

You will be invoiced in January 2018, and subsequent Januarys’ thereafter.
