WING NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN QUESTIONNAIRE FEEDBACK MEETINGS

Thanks to everyone who completed a questionnaire, to provide your views about the possible future priorities for our lovely village. About 50% of the questionnaires were returned.
The questionnaires have been analysed by an independent company and they have provided us with the results.
The N.P. steering group have arranged to hold 2 public feedback sessions. This is to enable residents to hear the feedback. It is also an opportunity to ask questions and to hear about the next step in the progress towards the final Neighbourhood Plan Document.

The first session will be held on SUNDAY 2nd DECEMBER at 3pm.  The next on  WEDNESDAY. 5th DECEMBER at 7 pm.

Any questions please contact Nicky Lyttleton, Chairman, or myself, Joanne Beaver, Vice Chairman. beawingj@gmail.com, or any committee member.

Lest We Forget

If you look at the war Memorial Board for 1935-45, in Wing Church, you will notice that the Wing residents of the 1939-45 war period were very fortunate in that none lost their lives. Nevertheless, those villagers who served during that period are recorded and remembered with thanksgiving.

This year, 2018, is one during which the end of the 1914-18 war is being remembered and sacrifices honoured.

Few, if any, Wing residents of today will have personal memories of those particular people mentioned on the Memorial Board. However, all of us will have our own family memories of that period of British history.

Therefore you are invited to share and honour your family members who served and those who sacrificed their lives during the wars of 1914-8 and 1939-45.

You can do this by putting a poppy on the Wing ‘Memory Wall’ located in Wing Church for the November 11th Armistice Day Services.

If you live in Wing you have received an envelope with poppy with a label for you to write the name/s of a family member/s you wish to be remembered.

Please return the poppy in the envelope to the box in the church or village hall, to a member of the P.C.C. or to me. If you would like to make a donation, this will be forwarded to the Royal British Legion.

Thank you, Gloria Whight
