Wing Village Hall Events
As hopefully many of you will be aware, the village hall has had a resurgence of successful events over the past couple of years under the guidance of Tracy Moores and her fabulous team of creative hard working village volunteers. Tracy is taking a well deserved step back and handing over to Helen Eskdale, who is taking on the role as the new Village Hall events coordinator, although she will directing the next big event; Mardi Gras on the 8th March so expect the usual frolics.
Helen has previously organised motorcycling charity events, stage managed for the Shoestring Theatre company in Stamford and coordinated large corporate away-days, so she hopes to bring her skills to support the creative team that is already in place and who make our events so much fun. Together with Sharon Milner who proposed the idea; Helen and various enthusiastic village volunteers put on the Wing Christmas Family day in December, which was much enjoyed and very well received by parents and children. There have already been requests for a children’s summer event so you never know….
It would be fantastic to see different types of potentially smaller events in the Village Hall that help groups within our community to come together and enjoy our life in Wing.

For Rutland holds a mega annual clothing sale in March each year and the proceeds go directly to help Rutland residents with independent, non-medical advice to people of all ages who are living with long-term health conditions such as cancer, strokes, dementia, multiple sclerosis, heart disease and mental illness.. https://www.forrutland.org.uk/about-us
The WI will be at Wing Village Hall on the above dates to collect your donations and will then take them to For Rutland in Oakham.
If you can’t get to the village hall on those dates, drop me an email and I will arrange a collection date – daltoninwing@gmail.com
