The Wing Breakfast March Sunday 23rd 9:00 – 11:00hr

It’s back one week later than normal! After serving over 30 covers for breakfast in February, please come along and see if you can buy us out of black pudding/hash browns.  We’ll be serving the usual full Winglish breakfasts with a side of black pudding, plus bacon/sausage butties, and tea/coffee/orange juice. Veggie options available too.

If you have any extra’s or suggestions you’d like for our last Spring 2025 Breakfast on Sunday April 13th, please let Helen Eskdale know on h.eskdale@hotmail.co.uk

Cards and Cash taken.

See you there!

Wing Spring Wimboling Litter Pick 2025

A massive ‘thank you’ to all the volunteers who turned up for the litter pick on a cold Sunday morning.

We had a great turn out which made it a bit easier for everyone, and we amassed a very large pile of rubbish.

At least our village is a bit tidier and cleaner now.

Dorothy Buckby RIP

Many of you will have encountered Dorothy who was born, lived and died in Wing for all the 104 years of her life.  Sadly, Dorothy died last Tuesday following a rapid decline in her health.  Her funeral will be held on 25th March (her 105th birthday) at 2pm in Uppingham Methodist Chapel.  This will be followed at 3pm by her burial in Wing Churchyard and a tea party in Wing Village Hall.  All will be very welcome to attend.
