Ride & Stride 13th September 2025 10.00 – 18.00

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Rutland Ride and Stride is a sponsored event, organised very two years by the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trustto raise money for the preservation of the. countyโ€™s beautiful and ancient church buildings.

Participants challenge themselves to visit as many churches as they can by walking, cycling,or horse riding. People with restricted mobility can travel by car.  Itโ€™s an opportunity to visit Rutlandโ€™s churches (many of which serve free refreshments!) and raise money to support the work of the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust.

HOW CAN YOU TAKE PART?

  1. Actively participate on the day by cycling, walking, etc as outlined above. Get sponsored by your friends, family and/or colleagues.  Visit our website: https://rhcpt.co.uk  for more information.  Alternativelyโ€ฆ.
  2. Sponsor friends or family members who are actively participating. The easiest way is via GoodHub.  Scan the QR codeor go to https://app.goodhub.com/rutland-historic-churches-preservation-trust-11991

Or you can give sponsorship money directly to the person you are sponsoring.

If you are a taxpayer please consider Gift Aiding your donation as this adds an extra 25% at no cost to you.

If you donโ€™t know anyone taking part, you can still make a donation to RHCPT via GoodHub.

We welcome volunteers to help out in a church of your choosing by checking in visiting cyclists, walkers, etc.#

NEED HELP PLANNING YOUR ROUTE?

On the back page of this leaflet there is a map of Rutland that will give you a better idea of the geography of Englandโ€™s smallest county.  To plan your own route in detail why not use our Create a Route program downloadable from the website?  Based on your likely average speed, it will calculate how long it will take you from one village to the next, cumulative time taken and mileage, superimpose your proposed route on a printable map, etc. If you donโ€™t like how it is shaping up โ€“ you can change it.

REMEMBER when you are planning your route this is a sponsored charity event. Donโ€™t forget to ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you.

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND THANK YOU!
