John Oakley lives!

John survived his carotid artery clean out without any complications other than a very sore throat. He will be discharged from LRI on Sunday 2nd August into the arms of his long-suffering wife Judith.

He came home but was so appalled by the noise in the village he decided to go back in for another couple of days rest. He is now back in the arms of his family with strict instructions NOT to exert himself. He is Googling the word exertion and taking things easy as his head is apparently only held on by super glue. This business of sitting about like a coiled spring waiting to respond to any call has been put on hold for a while.

Frank Smith (RIP)

It is with regret that we report that Frank (Scrappie) Smith took his last load to Seaton earlier this month. His smiling face and ever clean lorry will be much missed by the Parish.

The Hogarths are in their new home

We are sorry to see them go after so many years in Wing but we wish them well in their new home in Cumbria.

Some early shots, mostly concerning chip oil. Note the lack of rain!
