WING WI APRIL MEETING: Thursday April 14, 7.30 pm Mediaeval Crafts

WING WI  APRIL MEETING:

Thursday April 14, 7.30 pm  Mediaeval Crafts

The April meeting is on Thursday 14 April, at 7.30 pm.  Having been back to wartime at the March meeting, this month takes us further back in history to mediaeval times, with Sue Jones as the speaker.  We hope to take the chance of some practical experience of crafts practised by our ancestors, certainly to learn more about them.

2016 is the 90th anniversary of Wing WI which was founded on 6 November 1926, so we are only 11 years younger than the whole WI movement in Britain. Visitors are always welcome as are new members so if anyone would like more information about what we do or is interested in joining us please do contact the secretary, Jane Gilmore on 01572 737324

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month.  Some of the winter meetings are in the afternoon at 2.30, otherwise at 7.30 in the evening in the Village Hall in Wing.

Some of the winter meetings are in the afternoon at 2.30, otherwise at 7.30 in the evening in the Village Hall in Wing.

We hope to arrange visits to Uppingham Theatre to see “Jesus Christ Superstar” at Easter, as well as to Stoneywell Cottage and the Corn Exchange Theatre in Stamford later in the year.
