Friday, 12^th April, 7.15pm. Wine tasting “Call my Bluff” evening with cheese supper and raffle in the Village Hall. All proceeds to the Village Hall fund. Fun evening complete with great surprise Bluffers and wines chosen by Charles Gallimore. Seating will be tables of 6 – make up a table or join a table on the night.

Cynthia with cake A long-standing resident of Wing, Cynthia Harris, passed away peacefully in Crown House, Oakham, on the 6th Feb.

An enthusiastic and loyal member of Wing WI and a great supporter of Wing Church, her friends will miss her dry humour and amazing knowledge of football!

Cynthia’s funeral service was held on Thursday 21 February at 11 am in Wing Parish church. Refreshments were available afterwards, kindly arranged by Wing WI, in the village hall.

Rev. Pippa Madgewick was officiating. Donations, in lieu of flowers please, will be shared between Wing Parish Church and The Salvation Army.

Over 70 of her friends attended and the floral tributes from her close friends were perfect for the lovely early spring day when we said goodbye to our dear friend.
