An aMAZEing Mini-Marathon on Saturday 13th April, starting at 10.30a.m. from the Maze

This went exceptionally well and £300 was raised – well done to Gloria and Dennis for arranging and to all who took part to make it such a successful event.

An Invitation from Gloria Whight:

On May 10th 2003 I did The Moonwalk in London, and the Village generously sponsored me during my training by doing a village moonwalk around the Buttonhole. This year I am asking you to sponsor Siobhan Reilly, a young Wing resident, who is currently training to take part in The London Marathon for her chosen Charity – The Woodland Trust. I am, therefore, inviting and challenging you to take part in an aMAZEing Mini-Marathon on Saturday 13th April, starting at 10.30a.m. from the Maze and finishing there for a mini-brunch. Siobhan will be joining you – the walkers, runners, cyclists, dog walkers, etc. – as part of her training.

Please support this event.

We suggest a minimum donation of £5, please.

The Woodland Trust is the U.K.’s largest Conservation Charity, which protects, creates and restores the U.K.’s woodland for the benefit of people and wildlife

What Would You Do?

wwydnhsThe Government is investing an extra £20 billion a year in the NHS. Help your local NHS invest in the right support by sharing your ideas and experiences. #WhatWouldYouDo

What would you do to improve local health services?

With growing pressure on the NHS – an ageing population, more people living with long-term conditions, and lifestyle choices affecting people’s health – changes are needed to make sure everybody gets the support they need. The NHS has produced a ten-year plan, setting out all of the things it wants health services to do better for people across the country. Now your local NHS needs to hear from you about what those changes should look like in your community.

Share your views and help make care better. There are two public surveys to capture your views and you can fill in one or both of them.

Survey 1 – What would you do to give people more control of their care?

Tell us what your local NHS can do to help you and your community stay well and provide better support. Please complete the survey here.

Survey 2 – What would you do to give people better support?

The Long Term Plan sets out what the NHS wants to do better, including providing better support for people with cancer, mental health conditions, heart and lung diseases, long-term conditions, such as diabetes and arthritis, learning disabilities, autism, and for people as they get older and experience conditions such as dementia.

Your local NHS needs to hear from you about how it can provide better care for people living with these conditions. Please complete the survey here.
