Lest We Forget

It suddenly occurred to me that the wonderful displays in various shops and businesses around the town in support of Remembrance will not be seen again in our lifetimes and there ought to be a record. I have put together this little slideshow in an attempt to preserve it and to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. Although I have not yet completed the Poppy Appeal count, I am convinced that the efforts by these businesses have substantially affected the amount of money raised for the Royal British Legion

As many of the Seniors in the village don’t use the internet they may not be aware of this event. If you have a senior neighbour please can you pass this message on? We always have a good celebration and the food is great.

Mutts Nutts Dog Rescue and Dove Day Hospice coffee morning
DOVE new recipe book will also be on sale. A wonderful stocking filler for £6. Most of the recipes come from the 3-course lunches that volunteer cooks provide for guests who enjoy our services.
Donations of cakes would be gratefully received.
