Sheila Casey – Funeral
The funeral of Sheila Casey will take place at Kettering Crematorium on Monday, 23rd October ( family only ) followed by a service in the church in Wing at 2:30pm where all her friends are invited to say farewell to a much-loved resident of the village.
Quiz and Silent Auction
Volunteer Santa Claus/Father Christmas required
Does anyone in the village fancies volunteering to be our Santa Claus/Father Chrismas on the tractor sleigh we are proposing to do the rounds on 1st December? It involves about half an hour of sitting in a comfy chair on one of Richard T’s tractor/trailers with hay bales and Christmas music, waving whilst we drive around the village attracting interest for the Christmas lights.
Harvest lunch
There was aย great turnout of around 70 folk for the Harvest Lunch today. Delicious food and great company ensured we all had a great dayย – huge thanks to Jeffy and David Wood for allowing us to use their barns for this wonderful village event.
Thanks to all the team who helped with the food preparation and serving- Jane Peach, Helen Bateman, Alice Hill, Phillipa Gallimore, Debbie Whight and all those who made crumbles and helped with the clearing up.
