Pancake Day Fun

Pancake Day Fun!

Around the group of 10 villages that make up Rutland Water Benefice, there was lots of fun and laughter as pancakes were flipped and filled with a range of delicious fillings.

Pancake or Shrove Tuesday is a day of celebration and penitence, it is the day before Lent begins.

Lent is 40 days before Easter when Christians prepare themselves for Christ’s Resurrection by giving up some things or food they enjoy. We make pancakes using up some of the food we might give up during Lent – and we have a bit of fun in the process.

Take a look at the video at this link and enjoy some spectacular flips! https://youtu.be/z3ekkeKambs
