Spring Gift and Food Fayre

spring gift

Things started to happen. Last Sunday a crack team of engineers set about erecting the Marquee for the coming weekends Fair. With little wind and no rain the job went very well and the lack of volunteers went almost unnoticed.

Some shots from the day before we opened to the public…..

And you all thought your correspondant was just a little old overweight bore. Little did you know of my tallents as a dancer as well!

The Raffle

We were very lucky with the weather, the day started out rather grim but by mid morning the Sun came out and the Wind had dropped. Suffice to say Doreen ventured over without her Nanook of the North hat on.

Little mention has been made to the sterling efforts made by Sarah O’Boyle to organise and co ordinate the fair. Proceeds will go into the hall running costs so the very least we can say is Thanks Sarah!

The Hall Funds are richer by nearly £200 and there is yet more in the pipeline.

Stop Press. Has anyone seen the treasurer?

WI Leics & Rutland Spring Council Meeting
