Bryan Spooner, acting Wing Parish Council Chairman, presents Parish Clerk, Susan Awcock with a bouquet of flowers to thank her for all the hard work she has done over the past few years. Susan is leaving the job of Parish Clerk and will be very sadly missed.
In particular Wing, has Susan to thank for her expertise in gaining the village grants for the new play equipment on the playing field.
We all wish Susan very best wishes for the future.
WING PARISH COUNCIL
APPOINTMENT OF CLERK and RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER TO THE PARISH COUNCIL
Salary within grade LC1 of the NJC pay scales (as recommended by NALC and SLCC)
Part-time 3 hours per week including bi-monthly evening meetings
As Clerk, you will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council meetings are properly administered and decisions effectively implemented.
As the Responsible Financial Officer you will carry out the effective and proper management and control of the Council’s financial affairs by maintaining proper financial systems, records and controls, preparing and monitoring the Council’s budgets, organising the payroll, ensuring that the Council complies with all requirements of Internal and External Audit, managing all aspects of insurance and the asset register and reporting to the Council.
Suitably qualified ideally with or be willing to obtain CiLCA. IT, financial and organisational skills and be flexible in approach and able to meet deadlines are a necessary part of the position.

The Parish Council will be holding their 2017 ANNUAL PARISH MEETING on Wednesday 24th May at 7.00pm in the Wing Community Centre. All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
It will be preceded at 6.30pm by a meeting of the TRUSTEES and followed at 7.45pm by the ANNUAL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

Wing Parish Council has made application to Rutland County Council for Designating the Wing Parish, as indicated on the featured Plan, as an area for the preparation of a Neighbourhood Plan. The Parish Council Resolutions related to this process from the 29th March Meeting are also set out herein. Rutland County Council will be conducting its own public consultation processes as required by law.
The Wing Parish Council has established, through its local call for volunteers, a Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group as a Sub-committee of the Parish Council. The Steering Group will take a lead in the formulation of such plan through the involvement and consultation of all residents, businesses, employers, and landowners within the proposed Designated Area – the Parish of Wing.
Over the coming months, assuming that the Designation is approved by Rutland County Council, there will be an ongoing opportunity for you to express your views and contribute your knowledge and expertise to the Plan’s formulation. This is an important project for the future of our community and the final Draft Plan will be the subject of a local referendum as required by law.
