Wing Jubilee Weekend – What’s On

Thursday 2 June –
Bring a drink and picnic and join Wing in the marquee at the Village Hall to celebrate the start of the Jubilee celebrations with some musical entertainment and the lighting of the beacon at 8.30 pm and the official opening at 9.15pm

Saturday 4th June –
Flower Festival in Wing Parish Church all weekend
Decorate
your house to add to the festive spirit.
Exhibition of Wing History in the Church all weekend
Cake competition – 10.00 am in Wing Village Hall
Wing Village History talk and slide presentation led by David Seviour in Wing Parish Church 11.00 am 
Village arts and crafts display – Wing Village Hall all weekend
Teas in the village hall from 2.30 pm – 5.00 pm.
A Guided Walk through Wing Village History from Wing Village Hall car park led by David Seviour 3pm – 4.30 pm 

Sunday 5th June
Street Party – Top Street from 12.30 onwards.  Tables will have locally made decorations.  Bring your own food/drink or enjoy food and drink available for purchase from the Kings Arms pub pop-ups. 

PLEASE book your places at the table by contacting Joanne beawingj@gmail.com  so we have enough seats and tablespaces.

Children’s activities will be taking place throughout the afternoon

Cake Competition Winner is announced by Fiona Cairns 3pm.

The Wing Jubilee Bake Off


Get your pinny on, roll up your sleeves and enter our exciting cake competition!

Bake a cake fit for our Queen to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.

To enter, deliver your cake to Wing Village Hall on Saturday, June 4th between 10am-12pm. Judging is at 12 midday.

The winner will be announced on Sunday, June 5th at 3pm.

Prize-a Jubilee  Hamper packed with goodies.

Judges Tip. The cakes will be judged equally on appearance and taste.

WING NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN PROGRESS MEETING.



There will be an opportunity for residents to find out more about the Wing Neighbourhood Plan. On SATURDAY 7 MAY , between 10 am and  1 pm, in WING VILLAGE HALL There will be display boards charting progress so far. Members  of the NP steering group will also be available to answer questions.
