Drivers responsible for the most serious speeding offences are set to face harsher penalties under new sentencing guidelines for magistrates.
The court can consider further adjustment for any aggravating or mitigating factors and identify whether any combination of these, or other relevant factors, should result in an upward or downward adjustment.
The maximum fines allowed by law remain the same, so speeding drivers cannot be fined more than £1,000 unless the offence takes place on a motorway, where the limit is £2,500.

WING NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Wing Parish Council has made application to Rutland County Council for Designating the Wing Parish, as indicated on the featured Plan, as an area for the preparation of a Neighbourhood Plan. The Parish Council Resolutions related to this process from the 29^th March Meeting are also set out herein. Rutland County Council will be conducting its own public consultation processes as required by law.

The Wing Parish Council has established, through its local call for volunteers, a Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group as a Sub-committee of the Parish Council. The Steering Group will take a lead in the formulation of such plan through the involvement and consultation of all residents, businesses, employers, and landowners within the proposed Designated Area – the Parish of Wing.

Over the coming months, assuming that the Designation is approved by Rutland County Council, there will be an ongoing opportunity for you to express your views and contribute your knowledge and expertise to the Plan’s formulation. This is an important project for the future of our community and the final Draft Plan will be the subject of a local referendum as required by law.

Many Thanks to everyone who supported this event whether eating lunch or working hard in the kitchen or donating scrumptious puds.
Thanks to you all.
We raised a magnificent £225:30.

Added to that, the Village Hall committee agreed that the Spring Fayre Raffle could benefit Dove Cottage Day Hospice at Ridlington . Sarah o’Boyle gathered some wonderful prizes. £103 was added to Dove coffers.
So Wing was able to present a total of £328:30 to Dove Cottage Day Hospice in Ridlington.
